For severe use, DEXRON®-VI fluid changes are the only maintenance recommended. For normal use there is no fluid change scheduled. Continual development of the 4L60 / 4L65/4L70 to increase high-mileage longevity remains a priority.
Another contribution to low maintenance is the ability to match the transmissions to each of its broad list of applications. Performance efficiency and ideal cooling are achieved by using one of four sizes of torque converters and that contributes to long-term durability.
The Hydra-Matic 4L65 are differentiated primarily because of gearset design. This four-speed automatic transmission has five pinion gears for unrivalled strength. This heavy duty (HD) variant of the 4L60 features more robust parts that provide increased strength.
The Hydra-Matic 4L60 / 4L65 / 4L70 are also characterized by rigid structures and low noise designs. These transmissions are state of the art for rear-drive and four-wheel-drive cars and trucks because of their adaptive shift electronic controls and GM’s proprietary Electronic Controlled Capacity Clutch (ECCC) technology. The ECCC allows sophisticated variable clutch slip to dampen engine pulses, providing smooth shifting and driveline feel. The transmissions also take directions from vehicle powertrain control modules to avoid hunting between gears when climbing hills
Finally, as part of a corporate-wide reduction of environmentally hazardous materials, the use of hexavalent chrome as a material coating is eliminated in the 4L65 transmissions.
TRANSFER CASE
Purpose-built Atlas II transfer case is competition proven and freeway friendly, too.
The Advance Adapter's Atlas II 3.8:1 low range and 1: 1 high range transfer case is CAD-CAM designed and CNC machined for off-road performance, without sacrificing on road performance. The one-piece case with structural access cover is manufactured of heat- treated aluminum alloy. The gears are precision machined and are supported by needle roller bearings that are matched to finely finished shafts. The shafts, including the bulletproof 1-3/8" diameter, 32 spline rear output shaft, are fully supported on tapered roller bearings. The Atlas transfer case also features the convenience of synchronized shift on the fly capability. While Twin stick controls allow individual front and rear axle control.

EXTERIOR
An all-new 5/32” thick 5052 H32 aluminum body captures the original Land Cruiser character but with even greater longevity and resistance to the elements. The body is built by hand, and finished by hand. The unique matte finish is obtained by silica blasting the body, then brushing the exterior panels before applying a durable powder coat coating that is extremely durable, providing aircraft-quality protection that is easy to maintain with a brush and hose. The windshield frame and hood are coated in a black alligator textured non-reflective powder coat finish, as are the underside of all body panels.

Choose The Off-Road Option with KMC bead lock 17” alloy wheels with 35”x12.5” BAJA T/A tires or The On-Road Option with BF Goodrich A/T or M/T 280/75/R17 tires with American Racing Teflon coated ATX Mojave wheels.

Hanson Pre-runner provides protection and presence, with protected mounting location for IPF lights.

THE ENVIRONMENT
We built the icon with the premise that the people who spend the most time in wild places have the greatest interest in preserving them.
So the Icon is built with a sense of the environment and recycling
responsibly. The Icon emits less harmful emissions in a day full of stop and go driving than the original Land Cruiser did idling in a parking lot. Its modern drive train design provides more than quadruple the Horse Power and double the torque of the original Cruiser while reducing emissions and increasing efficiency thanks to its intelligent gearing, modern fuel injection system, oxygen sensor circuit and sealed fuel system.
We further reduce environmental impact by recycling an older vehicle
instead of producing of a new one. No CFCs or VOCs are emitted in the production of the Icon.

Anteeksi hämminki, mut kuvat oli jostain perus-Iconista. Nyt on tuo otsikon mukainen kikotin kuvissa. Tarkkasilmäiset kun havaitsi että täähän on latijousilla, vaikka tekstissä kehutaan kierrealustasta. Ja olihan tuossa mallinimessäkin Baja, eikä aiempien kuvien kapineessa paljon Baja-tyyliä ole.

vautsikavau!!!!! aivan perkeleen hieno. jotenkin toi perusmalli kans sopii jotenkin paremmin silmään. etupuskuria voiskin vähä apinoida kun rupee sitä kötösteleen, kunhan saa nyt ton takapuskimen enste ja aussie lockerin taka ja kitkan eteen ja turbon ja jne...
mutta on kyllä aivan sairaan nätti. buy the way, kävi tossa ameriikan tutut kylässä, mies suomalainen, vaimo italialainen, niin kuskailin niitä sit bertalla metässä niin empä ole ennen niin hullaantunutta emäntää autoon nähny kun se italialainen oli. vaati saada kuvankin autosta että saa nyy jorkkiin officensä seinälle. emäntä oli kyllä aivan täpinöissään.

Hei tuosta muuttoauto hommasta, että saanko tuoda auton ja katsastaa sen semmoisena kun se on? Eli jos tilaan ameriikasta auton niin saanko sen suomessa rekisteriin semmoisenaan ettei tarvi alkaa mitään valoja muuttelemaan tai muuta semmoista?
Oon siis ite ulkomailla töissä nyt ja muuttoauton ostoa suunnittelen.

Ei saa katsastuksessa läpi tuollaisia. Niistä joutuu hakemaan poikkeusluvan jossa puoltavana asiana on että kyseiset renkaat on olleet lailliset edellisessä maassa.
